Our Story

Bhakti Connect is more than an app—it is a heartfelt seva dedicated to people, rooted in a legacy of spirituality and knowledge spanning over a century.

Our journey began in the early 1900s, when Shri Jayanarayan Mishra, our great-grandfather, established a Sanskrit school in Kolkata and founded the Kolkata Vishwanath Panchang which went on to become one of India’s leading Panchangs.

This noble work was carried forward by his son, Shri Shivkumar Mishra, who rose to prominence as a renowned astrologer. His guidance was sought even by national leaders like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Smt. Indira Gandhi, whose kundlis he prepared with his expertise.

The third generation, Shri Shyam Lal Mishra, continued the family tradition, followed by my father, Shri Mahesh Mishra, a highly respected Panchang maker and reader who dedicated his life to preserving and spreading this sacred knowledge.

Today, as the fourth generation, I, Vijay Mishra, have created Bhakti Connect to honor this lineage. This app is a humble offering dedicated to my forefathers, carrying forward their mission of serving people through spirituality, astrology, and devotion.

With Bhakti Connect, we aspire to make spiritual guidance, temple information, puja services, and devotional resources accessible to all—bridging tradition with technology, and faith with convenience.
